President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov signed a decree concerning the composition of the Turkmen side in the intergovernmental partnership commission with Azerbaijan. The decree was signed during a regular government meeting.
Deputy Prime Minister Chary Gylydzhov was included in this commission as a co-chairman.
The Turkmen leader noted that the relations between the Azerbaijani and Turkmen peoples have been friendly and good neighborly for centuries. Their culture, traditions, history and moral values have much in common.
Even today, as the head of Turkmenistan stated, both states possess enormous amounts of resources and great potential, both in the economic and transport-communication spheres. The implementation of available opportunities will benefit not only both countries, but also the entire region and the world community as a whole, contributing to achieving sustainable progress.
Last week, the Turkmen leader paid an official visit to Azerbaijan. One of the stages of the meeting was the signing of a number of documents between the two states.
