Turkmen and Uzbek experts discussed regional cooperation

The Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a meeting of analysts from the two countries. The Uzbek delegation was headed by Director of the International Institute of Central Asia Zhavlon Vakhabov, while the Turkmen side was represented by specialists from the Center for Strategic Studies of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other specialized institutions. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

During the meeting, the participants discussed key issues of regional cooperation, including transportation and logistics projects, rational use of water resources and strengthening of humanitarian ties. Special attention was paid to the prospects of economic interaction between Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

The meeting was attended by Rector of IMO of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Gulshat Yusupova and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Uzbekistan to Turkmenistan Ravshanbek Alimov. The event facilitated an in-depth dialog on topical issues of regional development.
