The 24th International Sambo Tournament for the prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus ended in Minsk. The competition was held in two days - February 20-21.
On the first day of the championship our team's piggy bank was enriched with a bronze medal. Tedzhen Tedzhenov won the third place in sport sambo (weight category up to 90 kg).
The second day was more successful for our sambo wrestlers. The representatives of Turkmenistan won two bronze medals on the final day. Allanazar Baylyev was third in the weight category up to 74 kg in combat sambo. Another "bronze" was brought to us by sports sambo and again in the person of Tedjen Tedjenov (weight category up to 90 kg).
More than 20 teams took part in the international tournament. The Republic of Belarus topped the team standings. The second place in the competition was taken by the Ukrainians. Kazakhstan finished in third place.
