Embassy of Turkmenistan in Tbilisi An online conference was organized on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of Turkmen neutrality и 75th anniversary of the UN. The event was attended by representatives of the Georgian and Turkmen foreign ministries, the diplomatic corps, higher educational institutions of Georgia, as well as journalists.
Turkmen Ambassador D. Muratov addressed the audience, as well as representatives of the Red Cross and Red Crescent unitspermanent UN Coordinator in Georgia Dr. S. Mahle and others.
In their speeches the speakers congratulated our country on the quarter-century anniversary of permanent neutrality. It was noted that while staying in this status the country fulfills all the obligations it has undertaken. Turkmenistan's foreign policy is aimed at strengthening peace and ensuring sustainable development, and is based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and good neighborliness.
It is also noted that Turkmenistan firmly believes in the future of the UN. The state is focused on strengthening strategic cooperation with the Organization. This will allow it to make an even greater contribution to maintaining global security, progress and peace.
The participants of the event were also introduced to the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's published book, which is dedicated to the spiritual world of Turkmens. The book appeared on the eve of the country's Independence Day and incorporated the centuries-old wisdom of the Turkmen people. It was noted that the publication will also be of interest to ordinary readers. The participants also watched a video, timed to the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality.
