Turkmenistan will host a tender for the construction of a solar-wind power plant

The head of Turkmenistan, speaking at a government meeting on June 18, instructed to hold a tender to select a contractor to erect the first heliowave power plant for 10 megawatts. The commissioning of the new facility in the Balkan region will be an important event for the country's energy industry, one of the vectors of development of which is renewable energy sources.

Loan funds will be provided by the Abu Dhabi Development Fund for up to 15 years at 4% per annum (the first 3 years - grace period).

According to data provided by Energy Minister C. Purchekov, Last year, Turkmenistan supplied 5.5 billion kilowatt hours of electricity abroad. Deliveries will significantly increase after the launch of the gas turbine power plant in Lebap, the Akhal-Balkan-Dashoguz ring power system, and steam turbine installations at the Akhal and Dashoguz power plants.
