At the beginning of the talks with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow, the Turkmen foreign minister said Turkmenistan was ready to expand Turkmen-Russian relations. Meredov underscored the close cooperation between the two countries in diplomatic and economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation.
The parties noted that the relations between Turkmenistan and Russia are of a stable, strategic nature and are developing in accordance with the agreements adopted at the highest level.
Lavrov announced the signing of important documents as part of the work of the 6th Caspian Summit in the Turkmen capital.
The meeting of diplomats was followed by a ceremony of signing bilateral agreements:
- "Roadmap for Regional Security Partnerships
- Plan of implementation of key objectives of bilateral cooperation in the field of information security in the world for 2022-2025.
- The plan of festive events in honor of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and Turkmenistan.
