Turkmenistan's Economy Minister Hojamurat Geldimyradov reported to Serdar Berdymukhamedov at a Cabinet of Ministers meeting on February 3 on the results of work in the sphere of the national economy in January of this year. This was reported by the state news agency Turkmenistan Today.
The Deputy Prime Minister reported GDP growth of 6.2% in January 2023 compared to the same period last year. Also in his report, he said that the indicators of the volume of products produced in the country increased by 5.8%. The minister informed the president about the increase of retail turnover of Turkmenistan by 9.5% and drew attention to the increase of average wages of large and medium enterprises by 10%.
Positive trends were noted in all sectors of the economy. Geldimyradov also reported on the results of work towards the implementation of the National Rural Program.
The president of Turkmenistan heard the report of the deputy prime minister and gave specific instructions for further work.
