During the enlarged field session of the State Security Council on February 3, 2023, Turkmenistan's President, Army General Serdar Berdymukhamedov summarized the results of the military and law-enforcement agencies' activities in 2022. This was reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today".
During the meeting they discussed issues related to the further development of the work of law enforcement and military bodies to ensure security and peace in the country. The theme of strengthening the material and technical base of the relevant departmental structures was touched upon.
The secretary of the State Security Council reported to the president on measures to improve Turkmenistan's defense capabilities. In particular, he spoke about measures to improve professional skills of soldiers and officers, exercises held in 2022, and the progress of equipping the country's army with the latest technical equipment.
Serdar Berdymukhamedov listened to the report of the Defense Minister of Turkmenistan and gave instructions on the plans for 2023.
