April 21 is declared a non-working day in Turkmenistan

April 13, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the date of the National holiday Oraza Bayramy in 2023. This is reported on the website of the national news agency "Turkmenistan Today".

The document prescribes holding the National Holiday of the Turkmen people Oraza Bayramy on April 21, 2023. This day is declared a day off. Execution of this decree is mandatory for all enterprises, organizations and institutions regardless of their form of ownership.

Orazah Bayramah is one of the most revered holidays in the Islamic world and signifies the end of fasting in the month of Ramadan. The Feast of Feasting dates back to the 7th century. Indispensable good customs on this festive day are not only congratulations with the words "Blessed Feast", but also special prayers, a table with traditional dishes in the circle of relatives. On this day, children are spoiled with sweets, and alms are collected for the poor and needy.
