Turkmen playwright celebrates 70th anniversary

Outstanding Turkmen playwright Govshutgeldy Danatarov is celebrating his 70th birthday these days. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

Representatives of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan, representatives of creative teams, students and teachers of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, colleagues, friends and relatives of the playwright gathered at the Main Academic Drama Theater of Turkmenistan to congratulate the jubilee.

During the solemn event, a video was shown to familiarize the guests with the life and work of G. Danatarov. Sketches based on his plays, performed by the creative teams of the country's theaters, became a creative gift for the playwright. Playwright G. Danatarov was awarded the title of the People's Writer of Turkmenistan for his services to the state.
