A student of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, Kerim Ataev, staged a performance with artists of the Pushkin State Russian Drama Theater based on the work "These Free Butterflies" by American playwright Leonard Hersh. This is reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".
The new production is a course work of actor Kerim Ataev. Earlier, the third-year student of the theater faculty specializing in drama directing at the Turkmen State Institute of Culture served in the Pushkin Theater for almost 15 years, having earned the right to play leading roles thanks to his talent.
The main roles in the play "These Free Butterflies" were played by Makhtumkuli Gurbanov, Anna Khommadova, Tatyana Ovezmuradova, Gulmuhammet Chariev. In the center of the events of the production is a young blind man, who for the first time in his life left his mother's care and takes independent steps. The production shows the peculiarities of life of blind people, helps to look at their difficult fates from different sides, gives the audience an opportunity to reflect on true moral values - kindness, freedom, self-sacrifice, friendship and love.
