Turkmenistan recorded GDP growth by 6.3% for 11 months of the current year

On December 6, 2024, a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan was held, where Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Khojamyrat Geldimiradov made a speech, presenting a report on the state of the economy. In particular, he reported on the growth of Turkmenistan's GDP for the period from January to December by 6.3%. This is reported by the online edition "Westiabad."

Deputy Prime Minister noted that the growth in trade amounted to 9.5%, in industry - 2.2%, in the construction sector of the economy - 11%, in transportation - 7.1%, in agriculture - 5.3%, in services - 8.7%. The increase in production volumes amounted to 12.1%, and the increase in salaries of employees in large and medium-sized enterprises of the country compared to last year's figures for the same period amounted to 10.6%.

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov heard the Deputy Prime Minister's report, emphasizing the importance of studying the state of the country's economy and increasing the revenue part of the State Budget.
