Prospects for the development of digital economy discussed at a scientific conference in Ashgabat

The International Science and Technology Park of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan hosted a scientific and practical conference on the transformation of digital economy. Arzuw.news reports with reference to Turkmenistan: Golden Age.

Researchers and information security specialists addressed topical issues of cyber defense, electronic document management, integration of alternative energy sources with digital solutions, and expanding the use of information and communication technologies.

A report by Akhmet Esenov from the Laboratory of Information Security and Telecommunication Technologies on Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) technology attracted special attention of the participants. The expert presented this development as a promising replacement for traditional Wi-Fi.

Li-Fi technology is based on wireless data transmission by means of light. An LED lamp equipped with a special chip converts information into a binary code with a modulation frequency of more than 60 Hz, which guarantees high data transmission speed.

Nikolay Nikolaev from the Geographic Information Systems Department made a presentation on the use of spatial technologies on mobile platforms. The specialist told about the use of such solutions in the sphere of natural resources management, urban planning and transportation logistics.

To work with spatial data in the field, experts use the mobile GIS tool QField, which provides a professional level of information processing.

The conference participants noted the key role of the state digital development strategy in the formation of modern digital infrastructure and ensuring sustainable economic growth of the country.
