Turkmenistan's women's national under-17 soccer team recognized its opponents in the qualifying tournament of the 10th Asian Cup after the draw, which was held in Kuala Lumpur. This is reported by the publication Turkmenistan: Golden Age.
Turkmen soccer players got into Group "F" together with the national teams of Thailand and Nepal. All matches of the group stage will be held on the territory of Thailand from 13 to 17 October 2025 in a centralized format in one round.
Twenty-seven national teams, divided into eight groups, will compete for a place in the final part of the tournament. Three groups include four teams each and five groups include three teams each.
The final tournament will be held in China from April 30 to May 17, 2026. The winners of all groups will advance to the decisive stage, joining the four automatically qualified AFC national teams - DPRK, Japan, Republic of Korea and China.
These four teams have already secured their participation in the FIFA Under-17 World Cup to be held in Morocco in 2025. The upcoming Asian Cup finals will feature 12 teams for the first time, four more than the previous edition.
