In Mary province of Turkmenistan active development of the livestock sector is noted. A total of 5.3 million heads of small cattle are grazing on winter pastures of the Murghab valley. This is reported by the Internet edition AsmanNews.
The herds are ready for the approaching wintering, being in excellent physical shape. All the necessary volume of fodder was prepared in the fall, including hay, roughage and concentrated fodder. Efficient fodder preparation was facilitated by the use of modern special equipment.
State support plays an important role in the development of livestock breeding. Thus, shepherds interested in increasing the number of livestock receive benefits from the state for free use of pasture areas and distribution of litter. Currently, the most important task of cattle breeders in Mary velayat is preparation for spring calving, which starts in March.
