Turkmenistan Youth Cycling Championship to start in April

Turkmen athletes have completed training camps in preparation for the national youth cycling championship. The training camp was held in the mountainous town of Gokdere. The Neutral Turkmenistan daily newspaper reported on the course of training.

The national team coach Nargeldi Igdirov and coach Igor Yuldashev are in charge of training the cyclists. The training sessions in preparation for the championship included intensive and efficient races with overcoming different distances on highways with acceleration. The youth team also honed their skills on the mountain trails of Kopetdagh, overcoming them by running.

In addition to the training camp in Gökder, athletes have the opportunity to train in the indoor cycling track at the Olympic Campus. Here athletes regularly undergo rigorous training in preparation for important competitions.
