Foreign ministers prepare to meet at the 9th "Heart of Asia - Istanbul Process" conference. The event will be held in Dushanbe on March 29-30, 2021. The press service of the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs told the media that the decision was based on an earlier meeting at which diplomats from the member states of the regional initiative had been invited. It is noted that Tajikistan is focused on organizing such an important event.
The Tajik Foreign Ministry also stressed that Afghanistan's Deputy Foreign Minister M.Nab expressed his gratitude to Tajikistan for co-chairing the process and for his country's assistance in general. The participants of the preparatory meeting discussed the draft documents to be adopted at the end of the 9th conference. Thus, it will be Dushanbe Declaration and a number of documents aimed at prevention of natural disasters and empowerment of women.
"The Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process is a regional initiative jointly launched by Afghanistan and Turkey in 2011. The parties aim to create a forum for political dialogue and regional partnership. This will help bring peace and stability, and subsequently lead Afghanistan and other states in the region to prosperity. "The Istanbul Process brings together, besides Turkey and Afghanistan, the efforts of Turkmenistan, China, Iran, India, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, UAE, Tajikistan, Russia and Saudi Arabia.
