In the first half of 2020, a private company from Turkmenistan, Himiýa senagaty, increased the volume of products produced for the needs of the country's Ministry of Health. The company has organized the production of iodine pencils and sticks, as well as other means for disinfection. During the reporting period 127 tons of iodine was produced.
Himiýa senagaty is located in Chalca (Bereket etrap, Balkan velayat). Despite its relatively young age, it is quite capable of competing with producers of goods from the public sector of the economy.

Contracts for supply of this product have been already signed with India, Russian Federation, Austria and UAE, but every year more and more people are interested in purchase of Turkmen iodine products.
High-quality iodine batches produced by Himiýa senagaty were exported to India for the first time in 2019. The company's specialist noted that the development of new modern processing facilities in the field is conducive to increasing Turkmenistan's export potential.
