Rice growers of Lebap province of Turkmenistan plan to harvest about 47400 tons of rice this season from the area of 10200 hectares. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."
It is noted that this indicator can be achieved with an average yield of 46.47 centners per hectare.
The record-breakers in sowing rice in the new season are the farms of Sayat, Chardjev and Danev etraps, where the sown areas are 3,140, 3,080 and 2,160 hectares respectively.
Within the framework of preparation for rice harvesting, maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery, including combines and rice mills were carried out. The state purchase price per ton of rice starting from this fall's harvest is 1500 manat.
Increased government procurement prices and proper preparation for the new rice harvest will allow for a successful completion of the harvesting campaign and high performance.
