Turkmenistan held a meeting with representatives of the IDB and the Singapore Port

Representatives of the agency "Turmendenizderyaellary" held a meeting with representatives of the Islamic Development Bank and the Singapore Port. This is reported by the online publication "Türkmenistan habarlar portaly".

In accordance with the Agreement between the Government of Turkmenistan and the IDB, the Bank plans to finance the construction of two Ro-Pax ferries for the national merchant fleet of Turkmenistan.
In addition, the Bank issued a grant for modernization of Turkmenbashi International Sea Port. The main objectives of the financing were named as stimulating the development of Turkmenistan's shipbuilding industry, modernization of the country's merchant fleet, and training of qualified personnel.

During the meeting, representatives of the Singapore Port were familiarized with the project on development of Turkmenbashi International Port. Singapore cooperates with Turkmenistan in the field of marketing development in Turkmenbashi port, for which a special working group has been established.
