Turkmenistan holds events for the Day of Alabai

Being one of the national values, Turkmen Alabays occupy an honorable place in the treasury of world culture. In Turkmenistan, extensive work is being carried out to deeply study the history of this breed and maintain the purity of its gene pool. This is evidenced by the creation of the International Association "Türkmen alabaý itleri", as well as the establishment of the annual Day of the Turkmen alabai, celebrated on the last Sunday of October. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

A creative painting competition "Türkmen alabaýy - milli mirasymyz we buýsanjymyz" and an exhibition "Waspy dünýäni jadylan türkmen alabaýy" organized by the Historical and Local Lore Museum of Lebap province together with a special art school and the Turkmenabat City Council of the Makhtumkuli Youth Organization of Turkmenistan were timed to coincide with this holiday. The opening ceremony of the events featured speeches dedicated to the centuries-old national heritage and the development of the art of dog breeding in the country.

The visitors were able to appreciate the paintings and graphic works revealing the beauty and devotion of Turkmen Alabays. The winners of the contest were awarded Certificates of Honor and valuable gifts.
