USAID, as part of a regional trade development project in Central Asia, is preparing proposals for Turkmenistan that will be submitted to the Turkmen government.
The USAID program to enhance trade relations and promote economic growth in Central Asia was launched in October 2021.
The U.S. Agency plans to help governments harmonize customs and border processes, expand private and public sector dialogue on trade and investment issues, and establish business ties in the format of interstate cooperation. The organization plans to pay special attention to women entrepreneurs.
USAID is preparing to implement a number of business initiatives in Turkmenistan.
For example, the U.S. Agency intends to increase the number of consultants for international ISO standards, including management systems ISO 9001, environmental management ISO 14001, occupational health and safety ISO 45001, food safety management ISO 22000.
One of USAID's key objectives is to train relevant professionals in ISO 27001 information security management systems and the Halal food standard (GSO 2055-1:2015).
USAID is also ready to help finance the implementation of a system to digitize business processes at Halk Hazyna, where food packaging is produced.
