Agrarians of Dashoguz province of Turkmenistan plan to harvest 700 tons of carrots from an area of 40 hectares of land this season. This is reported by the Internet edition "TurkmenPortal.
It is noted that this volume with a yield of 180 centners per hectare will meet the needs of the local population and maintain prices at an optimal level. The largest amount of carrots is traditionally harvested by farmers of Akdepi and Boldumsaz etraps of Dashoguz province.
Yellow carrots are particularly popular with farmers, but other varieties are also grown in large quantities. Yellow carrots combine particularly well with different varieties of rice, giving a unique flavor to traditional dishes.
This spring carrots were planted on an area of 730 hectares. The agrarians managed to harvest a record spring carrot crop - more than 13 thousand tons.
