Turkmen chess players participate in the Mikhail Botvinnik Cup

A team of young chess players from Turkmenistan is taking part in the fifth Open International Cup of World Champion Mikhail Botvinnik among youth teams of CIS countries in Moscow at the Astrus Hotel. This is reported by the Internet edition "AsmanNews.

The tournament is organized by the Association of Chess Federations with the assistance of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS member states. The competitions are held in a round robin format in 9 rounds with a time control of 90 minutes per game with an addition of half a minute per move.

Turkmenistan is represented by the team led by captain Yusup Bayramgeldiev. The chess players have already played with teams from Armenia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, on September 8 there was a game with a team from Tajikistan, and on September 9 they will play with opponents from Belarus.
