The Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan (SPPT) has developed a program of forthcoming work for 2020, which includes more than 60 items.
One of the main tasks of SPPT this year is the development and implementation of a plan of new tasks arising from the new version of the Law of Turkmenistan "On the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan", adopted in October 2019. According to the law, a new order of work of the Union will be developed and approved.
Another SPPT goal will be to increase the private sector's share of GDP by 72.5% by 2024, in line with the State Program for Supporting Small and Medium Entrepreneurship in Turkmenistan for 2018-2024. The Union will support Turkmen companies and entrepreneurs to increase productivity and turnover. The private sector is expected to commission 21 facilities this year.
In order to develop the tourism industry in the private sector, the SPPT plans to develop and propose for consideration a draft revision of the Law of Turkmenistan "On Tourism" and the concept of development of this system.
As part of the national policy of digitalization, the Union provides for the creation and commissioning of a unified Internet portal for its members, as well as a digital database containing legal, economic, statistical and other information.
Experts of the Union will continue to work on developing proposals for local authorities to improve the work of entrepreneurs. According to the plan, Union members will also take an active part in the privatization of state property.
Founded in 2008, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan currently has more than 24,200 members.
