Yesterday, April 3, at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, President Berdymukhamedov gave instructions to develop measures to reduce the impact of the global economic crisis on the domestic market of Turkmenistan, because of the pandemic COVID-19 coronivirus in the world.
In this regard, lending programs for small and medium-sized enterprises have been expanded, as well as debt and tax benefits have been developed. A list of enterprises and organizations that will take advantage of these benefits will be compiled.
In his speech, the President noted that if necessary, the Trade Complex of Turkmenistan will take additional measures to create adequate stocks of basic products, including foodstuffs.
Also, Gurbanguly Berdymukhamedov instructed to develop and present measures to support small, medium and large enterprises in a short time, as well as to preserve the existing production and jobs.
Transportation agencies affected by traffic cuts will be supported
Noting that air transport is facing more serious problems as a result of the restrictions, President Berdymukhamedov instructed Bayramgeldy Ovezov to prepare proposals to freeze the payment of agency taxes and credits. These proposals would also include measures to support institutions affected by the reduction of air and cargo traffic.
The construction plan will be revised
Due to the situation in the global economy, Deputy Prime Minister Shamukhammed Durduliyev was instructed to review all the facilities that are planned to be built and to select only those facilities that are of social importance.
The President instructed to make changes to the construction program and submit it to the Cabinet of Ministers in the near future.
