The 110 kV power transmission line from Turkmenistan to Herat of Afghanistan has been built more than 80%. This is reported by the Internet publication "Westiabad."
Upon completion, the transmission line will be connected to the Noorul Jihad substation. The completion of the transmission line will contribute to the improvement of the energy infrastructure in the region, providing the growing needs of the population of Herat province with uninterrupted power supply.
Stable power supply will allow the industrial sector of Herat, which is an important trade and industrial center of Afghanistan, to function efficiently and attract foreign investors. Turkmenistan plans to increase electricity supplies to Afghanistan by modernizing transmission lines up to 220 kV.
