Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed to increase Turkmenistan's GDP growth by 6.5% in 2023

At Friday's enlarged Cabinet of Ministers meeting dedicated to the results of last year, Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov set a target of 6.5% GDP growth this year for the Government of Turkmenistan. In 2022, GDP growth will amount to 6.2%. This is reported in the online publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

During the meeting, the head of state reported on the formation of the program of socio-economic development of Turkmenistan for 2023.

The President highlighted the priority tasks in this sphere, one of which was the creation of about 3 thousand jobs in the country, which can be achieved through the construction of new enterprises and increasing the turnover in foreign trade up to $19.4 billion. Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that in accordance with the development program it is envisaged to increase the share of private business in the GDP structure of the state up to 71.3%.
