Representative of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development A.Usov informed that the volume of gross investments of EBRD from the beginning of its activity in the projects on the territory of Turkmenistan made $350 million. The representative of EBRD estimated the current volume of investments at $85 million. As it was noted earlier, the Bank considers the potential of banking and municipal projects in Turkmenistan.
In mid-November 2020, the active portfolio of the financial institution in Turkmenistan consisted of 34 projects with an investment volume of €59 million. In 2019, the Bank entered into six agreements with private companies from Turkmenistan with an aggregate value of €11 million.
Anton Usov noted once again that support of non-state companies is one of the main strategic vectors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development activity in Turkmenistan.
