Weightlifters from Turkmenistan won 7 medals of the World Cup in Lima

Three gold, one silver and three bronze medals were won by weightlifters from Turkmenistan at the World Youth Championship held in Lima. This was reported by the electronic publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

In 10 men's and 10 women's weight categories, 282 weightlifters from 52 countries competed for medals. Turkmenistan was represented by seven athletes, three of whom won medals of different values.

С. Jafarov, an 11th grade student of Turkmenabat secondary school, won "gold" in snatch in the weight category up to 102 kg. The athlete won "bronze" in the jerk, and "gold" in the sum of the two-round competition. In the category up to 49 kg, eighth-grader O. Amanova won "gold" in snatch, "bronze" in jerk and "silver" in the sum of the two-round competition. The winner of the bronze medal in the jerk in the weight category up to 67 kg was 10th-grader D. Dzhumabaev.
