With the participation of representatives of Turkmenistan a video conference was held, during which the function of the chambers of commerce and industry in the development of business in the CIS was discussed. The event was organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCI) and the Council of Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS member states.
The purpose of the conference, organized on the basis of the ZOOM platform, was to exchange experiences on supporting the development of small and medium-sized businesses under the new circumstances, analysis of the best practical solutions to minimize the negative effect of the COVID-19 pandemic. The meeting was attended by representatives of business structures from Turkmenistan, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the opening ceremony, the Head of the CCI Dovletgeldy Redzhepov and Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Heads of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the CIS countries, Deputy Chairman of the CCI of Tajikistan Odil Sangov, noted the importance of combining Chambers of Commerce to improve relations between member countries of the Commonwealth in the economic, investment, scientific and technical fields and in the field of cooperation.
During the online conference, issues related to the activities of Chambers of Commerce and Industry to stimulate and promote the development of individual businesses, the implementation of digital technologies, strengthening cooperation between chambers, government agencies and community members in the fields of investment, trade, economy, increasing export opportunities for individuals. Reports from the delegates of the national chambers were heard about this and much more.
Separately, the participants of the online conference focused on the digitalization of the business sector, touching on the development of online commerce in order to promote the products made by national entrepreneurs in foreign markets.
The participants of the videoconference supported further cooperation in order to intensify trade and economic relations and promote business development in the CIS.
