Turkmenistan to join Turkish-Azerbaijani initiative on aviation training

Executive director of Turkish state aerospace company TUSAŞ Temel Kotil and head of Azerbaijan's AirBusiness Academy Arif Mammadov signed yesterday an academic protocol on joining efforts to promote joint programs and research in the aviation sector. This is reported by Orient publication.

The aim of the agreement is to organize unified training programs and develop professional skills of aviation personnel in both countries. Joint courses will be held in Turkey, Azerbaijan, as well as in Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and other neighboring regions.

Training topics will cover a wide range of topics including aviation management, project management, leadership, digital skills, sustainability and operational excellence.

According to Kotil, the aim of the association is to create integrated educational content and improve behaviors in the region's aerospace industry. He believes this cooperation will open new opportunities for Turkey and Azerbaijan to strengthen ties in this strategic sector.

Mammadov echoed his words, saying the partnership will facilitate knowledge sharing and innovation in aviation, leading to a more skilled workforce.

The deal signals the deepening of ties between Turkey and Azerbaijan, which have been expanding cooperation in recent years. Analysts see this alliance as a push to develop domestic aviation potential and reduce dependence on foreign manufacturers.
