Turkmenistan is considering the prospects of transporting its gas to the Middle and Near East. The President of Turkmenistan instructed Deputy Prime Minister Shakhim Abdrakhmanov, who supervises the industry, during a working meeting to realize this opportunity.
Also, Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov, who is in charge of the electricity sector, received an order from the Turkmen leader to hold talks with partners on the transit of electricity from Turkmenistan through the territory of neighboring countries.
During the meeting it was stressed that these issues should become part of the agenda of the intergovernmental commissions. In addition, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry received instructions regarding the organization of bilateral and multilateral negotiations.
