On October 1, 2021, Expo 2020 Dubai will start in the UAE, and Turkmenistan will be a participant. Thus, the Emirates will become the first state in the Middle East, Africa and South Asia region to organize the World Expo since the beginning of the global pandemic. It is expected that more than 25 million visitors will be able to visit this large-scale event, of which 70% will come from abroad. The show will conclude on March 31, 2022.
The main goal of the exhibition is to familiarize its visitors with life-changing innovations, as well as to intensify interaction on decision-making that contributes to the post-pandemic "revitalization" of the economy.
The event will be held in compliance with the strictest security measures aimed at preventing the spread of COVID-19. In addition, the timing of the exhibition will coincide with the golden jubilee of the UAE. This will be an additional opportunity to showcase the Emirates' successful experience to the world and tell their inspiring story.
The Turkmen leader has already instructed decision makers to thoroughly prepare for participation in this significant event. He is confident that participation of the state in the "EXPO" will significantly expand both the geography and the range of cooperation with all interested states and companies. The head of state noted that the event will also be another step towards popularizing Turkmen-made goods in foreign markets and will allow the country to adopt the best practices in a variety of fields.
Consideration of the participation of Turkmenistan in "Expo 2020 Dubai" was given time and during the meetings of the Turkmen delegationThe first meeting of the group, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Serdar Berdymukhamedov, with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, was held at the Palace of Justice of Abu Dhabi.
Tekmil, a private company, will design Turkmenistan's project in the "Mobility" section of the exposition. Innovative technologies as well as high-quality digital content will be used in the creation of the national exposition.
