Turkmen karate players won 3 medals at the world championship in Spain

Athletes from Turkmenistan won one silver and two bronze medals at the World Traditional Karate Championship in Spain. This is reported by the Internet edition "Turkmenistan: The Golden Age." 

A total of 549 karate athletes from 17 countries took part in the sports competitions. Turkmenistan was represented by 10 athletes at the championship held in the Spanish city of Cambrils.

Selim Myratdurdyev managed to achieve triple success. In individual kumite he won the bronze medal. In doubles en-bu together with Nurgeldi Annagurbanov he won "silver", and in team kumite together with H. Begjanov, K. Ataev and E. Zekeryaev he won "bronze".

The Turkmen team was coached by Diyar Hodjaev, chairman of the National Federation of Traditional Karate, and Dovlet Berdyev, head coach of the national team.
