Turkmenistan sambo team wins 15 medals at international tournament in Minsk

At the end of the training camp on sambo and combat sambo held in Minsk, Turkmen athletes won 15 medals of various merits in the competitions for the Cup of the President of the Republic of Belarus. This is reported by Turkmenportal online edition.

Gold medals in combat sambo were won by Agasapar Mukhatov, a sportsman of the National Federation of Martial Arts, in the weight category up to 88 kilograms, Sukhan Ovezgeldiev, an employee of the Ashgabat Prosecutor's Office, in the weight category up to 98 kilograms, Maksat Annagylydzhov, a student of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Culture and Sports, in the weight category up to 79 kg, and Muminjan Arzakulov, a coach of the 3rd sports school of the Koitendag district of Lebap province, in the weight category up to 71 kg.

The Turkmen national team also has two silver medals and 8 bronze medals. The Turkmen team took the third place in the group competition.
