President of Turkmenistan meets with the President of Austria

In the framework of his working visit to the USA, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met with Federal President of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen. The meeting was held during the 80th session of the UN General Assembly. It is reported Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan. 

During the talks, the sides characterized the Austro-Turkmen relations as positive and dynamic, noting the successful interaction both bilaterally and in multilateral formats, particularly within the UN framework. Trade and economic sphere, including the work of the joint intergovernmental commission, as well as cultural and humanitarian ties were highlighted as key areas of cooperation.

The President of Turkmenistan took the opportunity to invite his Austrian counterpart to participate in the International Forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, which is scheduled for December 12 in Ashgabat. Alexander Van der Belen gratefully accepted the invitation, emphasizing the important contribution of Turkmenistan's policy of neutrality to peace.
