Turkmen athletes win 7 medals at the World Kurash Championship

Turkmenistan's national team won seven medals at the World Junior and Youth Kurash Championship held in Mongolia from December 2 to 8, 2024. This is reported by the Internet resource "Westiabad."

Yarmyrat Artykov won "gold" in the weight category up to 42 kg, becoming the best in the age category of 14-15 years old. "Silver" went to Nurana Hezretova in the weight category up to 70 kg and age category 16-17 years. Other members of the national team (Orazmuhammet Orazov, Serdar Kabulov, Nurana Mergenova, Leyli Bahadyrova and Humay Zhumadurdyeva) brought bronze medals to the piggy bank of Turkmenistan, fighting with rivals in different weight and age categories.

In total, more than 140 athletes from 34 countries participated in the championship.
