In the first four months of 2021, Turkmenistan retained its second position among the states that export oil in transit through the territory of the Russian Federation.
The volume of oil export transit from Turkmenistan was 641.3 thousand tons (of which 160.59 thousand tons in April 2021). The first position in terms of export transit volume was taken by Kazakhstan with an indicator of 4.62 million tons (1.17 million tons in April 2021). Belarus, which has exported 559.3 thousand tons (141 thousand tons in April), occupies the third position. The fourth position is occupied by Azerbaijan which has shipped 253.76 thousand tons of oil (84.31 thousand tons in April 2021).
In the first four months of 2021 the volume of Russian oil exports decreased by 20.5% against the same period and was equal to 66.65 million tons. At the same time, Russian oil supplies to neighboring countries increased by 95.7% and amounted to 4.92 million tonnes.
