"Iranian Film Days" and a thematic photo exhibition are taking place February 3-11, 2022 at the Iranian Cultural Center in the capital of Turkmenistan. The opening ceremony was held with the participation of Turkmenistan's Persian language learners and Ashgabat's film buffs.
Attache on culture of the diplomatic mission of Iran in Turkmenistan N.Rasuli told about development of the Iranian cinema art, world recognition of some film works. The sides noted that the first picture was shot in Iran in 1931 and the work of directors and actors received positive reviews at film festivals in Cannes, Berlin, Los Angeles. Over 20 Iranian films were nominated for Oscars. For example, director Majid Majidi won an Oscar for "Children of Heaven," and Asghar Farhadi received two "statuettes" for "The Divorce of Nader and Simin" and "The Salesman.
Also presented at the cultural center, the photo exhibition provides an opportunity to learn about the success of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the aerospace, military, energy, agriculture, science, and health segments.
