Turkmenistan has 3 border quarantine zones for detection of COVID-19 - Ministry of Health.

Ashgabat, April 22, /Arzuw NEWS/. As part of an information briefing held today at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Turkmen Health Minister N. Amannepesov spoke about the existing quarantine zones in the country:

Regarding quarantine points - we have created all the conditions. In Turkmenbashi there is a quarantine point with 360 beds.

There are about 40 citizens in Lebap velayat who entered our country. According to WHO principles, we have to keep the citizens who entered the country for a 14-day quarantine. In Turkmenbashi there are 67 citizens who entered through the Baku port - drivers with trucks and ship crews. We have organized a quarantine zone at the Karabogaz border crossing where 44 citizens, drivers who entered. All of them are being diagnosed with coronavirus.

It should be noted that none of the citizens temporarily quarantined at these border checkpoints were found to be infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus. According to the Minister, the quarantine points continue to work as usual.
