A seminar on tuberculosis diagnostics was held in Turkmenistan

A three-day methodological seminar on tuberculosis diagnostics held at the Central Laboratory of the Department of Infectious Diseases Centers ended in Ashgabat from 10 to 12 September. Arzuw.news reports with reference to the press service of UNDP in Turkmenistan.

The event was organized within the framework of the State Health Program "Saglyk" and the National Program of Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2011-2030 in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme.

The workshop was conducted by UNDP specialists together with the Tuberculosis Bacteriology Department for experts from regional tuberculosis hospitals in all five velayats of the country. The main objective of the event was to strengthen laboratory capacity and improve the quality of medical services.

During the workshop, participants studied modern approaches to TB diagnosis and treatment, effective use of laboratory technologies and ensuring high quality standards of medical care.

This initiative aims to increase national expertise in TB diagnosis, improve the quality of health care and strengthen infectious disease control measures in Turkmenistan.
