Turkmenistan held celebrations in honor of the start of construction of the Serkhetabat-Herat section

On September 11, a solemn event was held in Mary province of Turkmenistan on the border with Afghanistan to mark the start of construction of Serhetabat-Herat section and fiber-optic communication line Serhetabat-Herat. This was reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today.

The Serhetabat-Herat section is a key stage in the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India transnational gas pipeline project.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Acting Head of the Government of Afghanistan Molla Mohammed Hasan Akhund, who arrived in Mary province, took part in the celebrations. President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov addressed the participants of the celebrations in the online format.
