National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the commissioning ceremony of the Nur-el-Jahad power plant in Afghanistan's Herat province on September 11. This was reported by the state news agency "Turkmenistan Today.

The celebrations were also attended by Acting Head of Government of Afghanistan Molla Mohammed Hassan Akhund and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov (online). The Nur-el-Jahad power plant in Herat province is part of a large-scale project to lay the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan power transmission line.
