The President of Turkmenistan ordered to increase the rate of oil production. The head of state made this statement during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which was dedicated to summarizing the results of the government activities for the four months of this year. In his speech, the Turkmen leader stressed that there were positive developments in the development of the oil and gas complex, but there are some shortcomings in a number of sectors. Addressing Deputy Prime Minister Shakhim Abdrakhmanov, the President demanded strict control over the issues related to increasing the rate of oil production.
The head of the state focused separately on the work of Turkmengeologiya State Corporation. Noting the need to increase production capacities of polypropylene and polyethylene, the President also focused on the innovative approach to the technological equipment of production.
Speaking about the oil and gas fields in the Caspian region, the Turkmen leader gave orders to accelerate their development. The head of state also touched upon the construction of the TAPI transnational gas pipeline and a number of other international projects aimed at increasing export capacity of the gas industry. The President instructed to continue effective implementation of these projects in the future.
During the Cabinet of Ministers meeting, the head of state signed a decree authorizing the chairman of Turkmennebit State Concern G. Baigeldiyev to sign the relevant addenda to the Production Sharing Agreement. The President also gave instructions to control the implementation of the stages stipulated in these documents.
