Construction of two new power plants completed in Turkmenistan

Two new power plants - in Etrek etrap and Ashgabat - were opened on the professional holiday of workers of construction and industrial complex of Turkmenistan. This is reported by the Internet edition "Westiabad."

During the construction of power plants, much attention was paid to compliance with high environmental standards. The use of resource-saving technologies in the fuel and energy complex reflects Turkmenistan's responsible attitude to environmental protection. The implementation of energy projects using "green" technologies is one of the priority tasks of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan.

At the opening ceremony of the power plants, it was noted that reforms in the energy sector enable Turkmenistan to fully meet domestic electricity needs in the civil and industrial sectors, as well as build up the country's export capacity.
