The qualifying tournament for the World Swimming Championships ended with 10 medals for Turkmenistan

Turkmen swimmers under the leadership of Vladimir Novikov and Mark Pilyugin won 10 medals of different merits at the qualifying tournament for the World Swimming Championships. This is reported by Orient news.

The qualifying tournament was held in Tashkent from April 18 to 22 this year. In total, during the period of the tournament, domestic Polovtsians managed to win 4 gold, 4 silver and 2 bronze medals.

On the last day of the competition, the Turkmen national team added two medals - silver and bronze. M. Ataev won silver with a result of 27.28 seconds in the 50-meter backstroke. The bronze medal was awarded to A. Primova showed a result of 32.21 seconds in the 50-meter backstroke.

265 athletes from Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan took part in the qualifying tournament.
