The National Leader of the Turkmen People made a working visit to the country

On October 7, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov arrived in Azerbaijan to participate in the XII Summit of Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). This is reported by "Westiabad.".

The organization unites countries with common historical and cultural roots and aims to develop cooperation between Turkic peoples. It includes Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey and Uzbekistan. Turkmenistan and Hungary participate in the work of the TNA in the status of observers.

Turkmenistan, following the policy of positive neutrality, actively cooperates with international and regional structures, including the OSCE, participates in joint projects in the spheres of science, education and culture, and maintains dialog with the UN, OSCE and SCO.

The summit was held in the city of Gabala. Official representatives of Azerbaijan and members of the Turkmen delegation met the National Leader at the airport.
