100 schoolchildren took part in Turkmenistan's chess championship

The first chess championship of Turkmenistan, in which more than a hundred schoolchildren from all regions of the country took part, has ended in Ashgabat. This was reported by the Internet publication "Turkmenistan: Golden Age".

The championship was organized by the Chess Federation of Turkmenistan and the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports of Turkmenistan. The venue of the tournament was the Ashgabat Specialized Chess School.

The championship was held in 7 rounds in two age categories. In the age category up to 12 years old 16 teams participated in the tournament, in the category up to 18 years old - 13 teams.

In the category up to 12 years old, the winner was the team from the 41st Turkmenabat secondary school, the second place went to the team from the 26th Turkmenabat school, the third place to the team from the 2nd Turkmenabat secondary school.

In the category up to 18 years old, the team from the 41st secondary school of Turkmenabat won, the team from the 27th secondary school of Turkmenabat took the second place, the team from the 28th school of Baherden etrap of Akhal velayat took the third place.
