258 women who were awarded the honorary title "Ene mähri" of Turkmenistan by the President's Decree on March 6 received a one-time bonus of 3,220 manats. This was reported by Gurbanmyrat Ashirov, chairman of the Social Policy Committee of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, in an article in the Turkmenistan newspaper on March 9.
This article notes that women who carry the honorary title of "Ene mähri" have certain benefits. In particular, they are provided with free dentures, public transportation services, they and their families are entitled to free utilities (water, gas, electricity).
According to the Social Security Code, women who have given birth to five or more children, raised them to the age of eight, and had compulsory labor insurance for 15 years retire at the age of 54.
In 2019, more than 200 women won the honorary title "Ene mähri" of Turkmenistan. This high title has been awarded since 2008.
